Dr Victor Tichaona Pesenayi passed away at his home in Makhanda last week surrounded by his wife and family. Tich’s passing came days after he graduated with a PhD from Rhodes University on 11 April 2019, to his family and friends delight. Tichaona (known to us all as Tich) was about to take up a post-doctoral position in the ELRC to continue the work he started with his PhD around the work of the Amanzi for Food project. Sadly, he passed away just five days after his graduation in the early hours of 16 April 2019.
It is with great pain and confilcting joy that we celebrate the life of Dr Victor Tichaona Pesenayi. The project lead of the Amanzi for Food project. The heart, soul and anchor of the Imvotho Bubomi, Sinakekela Sibusiso Semanti and PulaWise networks.
His memorial service will be at Rhodes Univerist tomorrow at 11:00 am.
Makororkoto doc ugqatso ul’fezile. Siyajabula kwatana nawe. Robala ka Kagiso.
It is with great sadness that we share this tribute (open link to tribute by ELRC colleagues)
